If you follow me on social media, you know that I was in Iceland in May with Martin Miller’s Gin. I had the rare opportunity to see the waterfalls where Martin Miller’s sources water for their gin, check out their bottling facility deep into Iceland’s rural region, and even help judge an international bartending competition while I was there. We also took a good week to explore. I felt like I really got to know the country, which is breathtaking. And producer and friend, Joy Barrett and I brought along a GoPro and filmed the entire thing! The resulting footage will be used to kick off an exciting new project in the fall called Wanderlush, a show that merges travel, drinking culture and style. Hosted by me! Those of you who love to travel and also enjoy imbibing in exotic places know that you can learn a lot about a people through their drinking culture. This show intends to investigate a region through the glasses of the locals. All while showcasing what makes the area so special. The Blue Lagoon was just one of the many spectacular places we visited while in Iceland. It will only be a blip in the premiere episode but we thought it was such a stunning place, it deserved its own dedicated video.
So, here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come Fall 2015!
By the way, I know the dialogue is a little difficult to understand…the woman in the video is basically telling me that the mud masks at the Blue Lagoon are so beneficial that it just takes one application for a year’s worth of beauty! I’m clearly enthusiastic about that idea!
